At Fabric-And-Wallpaper.com, we have a huge selection of poles and tracks to suit all your needs. Curtain poles can be both functional and decorative, and can enhance your choice of window dressing.
Standard Windows
First, measure the inside recess width of the window from wall to wall (A). Then decide how far back you want the curtains to be drawn back from either side of the window (B). Ideally this should be 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) past either side. The required length for your pole or track will be A + B + B. When fitting the pole or track, it should be positioned 6 inches (15cm) above the window. This should be fitted before measuring for your curtains.
Bay Windows
Bay windows can be tricky and we would highly recommend getting a professional curtain fitter in as we cannot be held responsible for any incorrect measurements given and our made-to-measure products are not returnable. However, should you wish to do it yourself, here’s our guide. Look at the diagrams below to decide which type of bay window you have. Once you have made all the required measurements, click here to email them to us and we will come back with a quote.

Ensure that you measure your windows correctly as we cannot be responsible for any incorrect measurements given and our made-to-measure products are not returnable.
If you choose a metal pole, it can be cut to size or joined with a connector, whilst wood poles can be joined with a double end screw. All poles require two side brackets - don’t forget an extra centre bracket for poles over 180cm long. For bay windows you will need flexible bay corners together with passing brackets. If you choose curtain rings, it is advisable to have one ring for every 10cm of pole.
We can supply poles and tracks, together with finials and tie backs, from all the major suppliers. Once you have selected your pole, let us know the design and code number by clicking here to see our enquiry form, and we will come back to you with a quote.
Our suppliers include: Hallis/Rolls, Copes, Swish, Cameron Fuller, Silent Gliss,
Integra, Harrison Drape and Sunflex.
